SRS Advogados and RCF Protecting Innovation enter into an innovative agreement

SRS Advogados and RCF Protecting Innovation (RCF PI) have entered into an innovative agreement to coordinate their respective Intellectual Property practices.

This agreement between SRS Advogados and RCF PI will provide clients of both entities with an integrated service for their intellectual property requirements, whether from a technical perspective (RCF PI) or from a legal perspective (SRS Advogados). The result of this agreement should enable the intellectual property practices of the two firms and to assume a leading role in the Portuguese intellectual property market.

Within the context of this agreement, the Intellectual Property Department at SRS Advogados, headed by Gonçalo Moreira do Rato, will be reinforced by a team of lawyers that will join SRS Advogados at the beginning of 2018.

As regards this alliance, Pedro Rebelo de Sousa (Senior Partner at SRS Advogados) stated that “With more than 80 years of experience and 50 employees RCF PI is one of the largest, oldest and most prestigious intellectual property firms in Portugal and has a strong international presence. RCF PI is the partner of reference that we have been looking for in the context of consolidation of the intellectual property practice at SRS Advogados that we began with the integration in 2014 of the team lead by Gonçalo Moreira Rato”.
