José Luís Moreira da Silva and Mariana Silva Marques, respectively Partner and Associate at SRS Legal, are co-authors of a chapter in the book Direito dos Transportes de Angola II ("Angola Transport Law II", if translated to English).
The chapter, entitled Introdução ao Regime Jurídico dos Portos em Angola ("Introduction to the Legal Framework of Ports in Angola", in translated), focuses on the Angolan port sector, as well as on the regime of port domain and activities, with the appropriate framework.
This work follows on from Direito dos Transportes de Angola I (publication not translated do English), which has the same coordinators: Paulino Lukamba and Manuel Januário da Costa Gomes. It constitutes one of the visible effects of a collaborative initiative between the Lisbon University School of Law and the Faculty of Law of the University Katyavala Bwila, in Benguela, Angola, which culminated into the organization of a Master Course on Transport Law - 1st Master Course in Transport Law - under the scientific coordination of Professors Dário Moura Vicente and Manuel Januário da Costa Gomes.
In the first volume, the coordinators and organizers stated that they were convinced "that it fully serves the purpose of boosting the study of Transport Law in Angola and that it may constitute a springboard for the affirmation of the Katyavala Bwila University Law School as a centre for the study of Transport Law."
