Pedro Rebelo de Sousa appointed President of the Millennium bcp Foundation

Founder and Senior Partner of SRS Legal to lead the prestigious foundation while continuing in his role at the law firm

Pedro Rebelo de Sousa has been appointed President of the Millennium bcp Foundation, assuming office on 1 August 2026.

The founder and Senior Partner of SRS Legal succeeds Ambassador António Monteiro, whose term as President of the Foundation comes to an end at the close of July.

With a legal career spanning more than four decades, Pedro Rebelo de Sousa now takes on the presidency of one of Portugal's most prestigious private foundations, dedicated to promoting culture, the arts, heritage preservation, knowledge and social solidarity.

Throughout his career, Pedro Rebelo de Sousa has combined the practice of law with significant responsibilities in national and international organisations, building a distinguished career marked by leadership, a strong commitment to the public interest, and active involvement in academic, cultural and social initiatives.

He will continue to serve as Senior Partner of SRS Legal, maintaining his full commitment to the firm and its clients.

Commenting on his appointment, Pedro Rebelo de Sousa said:
