Pedro Rebelo de Sousa honoured with Career Award in Corporate Law by the Portuguese Law Firms Association
The Managing Partner of SRS Legal has been honoured with a career award in corporate law by the Portuguese Association of Law Firms (ASAP) on 29 September 2023. Sociedade de Advogados de Portugal (ASAP) on 29 September 2023. Pedro Rebelo de Sousa received this honour at the closing ceremony of ASAP's 12th National Meeting at the Belém Cultural Centre in Lisbon.
With over 40 years' experience, the founder of SRS is a reference in the financial and M&A areas, as well as in the legal profession. He also has extensive experience in banking, having been Vice-President of an international investment bank in São Paulo and New York, as well as Chairman/CEO of a Portuguese bank.
Carlos Cruz (CCA Law Firm), Manuel Magalhães e Silva (RBMS), Miguel Teixeira de Abreu (Abreu Advogados) and Carlos Lucena (Telles) were also honoured with this distinction, although Carlos Lucena was unable to attend the ceremony.
ASAP's 12th meeting took a cross-cutting approach to current issues, with panels dedicated to current and relevant topics for corporate law, such as: "Artificial intelligence in the legal profession - a new paradigm", "Own acts and multidisciplinary firms - are lawyers still needed?", "Advertising in the Bar Statute and the Marketing of Law Firms" and "Attracting and retaining future members - new interests and motivations".
