SRS Advogados ranked by Chambers as leading firm for Competition and TMT law

The 2016 Chambers Europe results put SRS Advogados once again in the Top 10 of Portugal's leading law firms. The international directory places SRS Advogados in Band 1 for Competition and TMT Law (as does the Legal 500), with 24 individual rankings. Partners César Sá Esteves, Gonçalo Gentil Anastácio and Octávio Castelo Paulo are recognised individually in Band 1 for Employment, Competition and TMT Law, respectively.

After already having been ranked leader (Tier 1) for Competition and TMT Law in Legal 500, SRS Advogados now re-establishes its leadership in these two practice areas in the Chambers Europe directory. SRS Advogados was also ranked leader for International Media Law, in the TMT practice area.

Additionally, Chambers highlighted 28 lawyers as Leading Individuals in the individual rankings. César Sá Esteves (Band 1), Partner responsible for the Department of Employment Law, is referred to as "very methodical and calm under potentially difficult circumstances". "He knows the legislation profoundly and has a brilliant strategic sense".

Gonçalo Anastácio (Band 1), Partner responsible for the Competition Department, is regarded as having "outstanding technical competence and deep knowledge of competition law".

Octávio Castelo Paulo (Band 1), Partner responsible for the Corporate & Commercial Department, is regarded as "very experienced, well connected and is really knowledgeable about the law and the regulatory issues that are important to us. He has considerable experience in telecoms and is particularly active in e-commerce issues. He also handles data protection and regulatory matters".
