SRS Legal delivers blankets and towels to the Portuguese Red Cross to support Timorese citizens in Portugal

For Christmas 2022, SRS Legal supported the solidarity mission of the Amadora Delegation of the Portuguese Red Cross (CVP), through its Metropolitan Emergency Unit, which is helping Timorese citizens who have arrived in our country with no family or support network.

Since 4 October, the Portuguese Red Cross has been supporting the Lisbon Municipal Civil Protection Service with the logistics of overnight accommodation, hygiene and meal support at the Emergency Shelter in Lisbon, based at the Pavilhão da Polícia Municipal, with capacity to accommodate about 100 people. However, the services have faced some difficulties in providing blankets and bath towels, given the need for permanent renewal of their stocks.

Thus, SRS Legal - in a joint action with the contribution of its employees - delivered to CVP a set of 20 blankets for this purpose, along with 30 towels. The delivery was made by Alexandre Silva, an external employee of SRS Legal, with a historical connection to CVP, as a first aid worker.
