SRS Legal hosts conference on "Investment opportunities in Portugal" in Belo Horizonte, Brazil

On 9 July 2025, SRS Legal held the seminar “Investment Opportunities in Portugal” at the Fasano Hotel in Belo Horizonte, as part of the Brazil–Portugal Corridor initiative.

The event brought together participants from various sectors interested in understanding the business environment and the tax, legal, and economic advantages that Portugal currently offers to foreign investors — particularly those from Brazil.

SRS Legal was represented by Mafalda Alves, Partner and Head of the Tax Department at SRS Legal, who presented Portugal’s new tax framework for innovation — IFICI / RNH 2.0. The session opened with remarks by Shirley Souza, Senior Commercial Head at Santander Private.

Also speaking were Gonçalo Valente, Head of Business Development at JLL Portugal, who offered an overview of the Portuguese real estate market, and Lourenço Vieira de Campos, Head of Private Banking at Santander Portugal, who discussed key investment opportunities and financial solutions and also delivered the closing remarks.

Held between the São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro editions, the Belo Horizonte seminar formed part of a three-city series organised by SRS Legal in Brazil, strengthening the strategic connection between the two countries and promoting Portugal as a prime destination for investment.
