SRS Legal hosts seminar on investment opportunities in Portugal in Rio de Janeiro

Following the successful events held in São Paulo and Belo Horizonte, SRS Legal organised a new edition of the conference Investment Opportunities in Portugal, which took place on 10 July 2025 at the Consulate General of Portugal in Rio de Janeiro, bringing together multiple participants interested in exploring the legal, tax, and economic framework for investing in Portugal.

The event was part of the Brazil-Portugal Corridor initiative, promoted by SRS Legal, JLL, and Santander Private Banking in partnership with the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Rio de Janeiro.

Pedro Rebelo de Sousa, Founder and Senior Partner at SRS Legal, opened the session and provided an overview of the main themes under discussion. Gonçalo Valente, Head of Business Development at JLL Portugal, presented insights on the Portuguese real estate market, followed by Lourenço Vieira de Campos, Head of Private Banking at Santander Portugal, who addressed current investment opportunities.

Pedro Rebelo de Sousa returned to highlight why Portugal — and SRS Legal — are key partners for Brazilian investors, and Mafalda Alves, Partner and Head of Tax at SRS Legal, closed the speaking programme with a presentation on Portugal’s new tax framework for innovation — IFICI / RNH 2.0.

The event ended with a networking cocktail, strengthening bilateral ties and reinforcing Portugal’s positioning as a strategic gateway for international investment.
