SRS Legal presented the first Health Law Summit in partnership with Biocant - Association for Technology Transfer

This event, organised by Biocant in partnership with SRS Legal's Life Sciences & Healthcare Department, focused on the new unitary patent system in the area of intellectual property and, in the regulatory area of Life Sciences, on the protection of information and data exclusivity for holders of marketing authorisation and medical device registrations. This topic is particularly relevant in the context of legislation relating to medication and medical devices, a matter presented by Ana Menéres and Diana Abegão Pinto, partner in charge of the Life Sciences & Healthcare Department and senior associate of SRS Legal, respectively.

The new unitary patent system was presented by João Paulo Mioludo, partner responsible for the Intellectual Property Department of SRS Legal, João Jorge, biochemist and director of RCF, and also Raul César Ferreira, Industrial Property agent.

This event, facilitated and also presented by Joana Branco, Executive Director of Biocant - Association for Technology Transfer, was integrated in the context of other seminars that Biocant has been promoting and that are related to the topic of technology transfer, target of the InovC+ project, of which Biocant is a partner. The project includes 19 regional partners, from universities and polytechnics to interface centres and science and technology parks (more information in INOVC+ | Intelligent Innovation Ecosystem of the Central Region).
