SRS Legal, in partnership with AICEP and the Portuguese Studies Centre (CPE), organised the conference Portugal - Attracting specialised and qualified talent (IFICI Regime / NHR 2.0), which took place on 26 June at the residence of the Portuguese Ambassador to the United Kingdom (kindly provided by the Ambassador) in London.
The event was opened by the Portuguese Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Nuno Brito, and the founder and Senior Partner of SRS Legal, Pedro Rebelo de Sousa. the event presented an economic overview of Portugal by the Director of AICEP in London, Pedro Patrício, followed by a discussion on attracting talent to capital markets with the CEO of Euronext Lisbon, Isabel Ucha, and the Director of CMVM, Carla Rodrigues Mãe, moderated by the Partner in charge of Corporate & Finance at SRS Legal, Alexandra Valente.
The partner responsible for the Tax Law Department at SRS Legal, Mafalda Alves, gave a presentation on the IFICI regime and its benefits for foreign investors.
The session was closed by the Chairman of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom, João Mattamouros Resende, and the President of the CPE, António Guerreiro. At the end, participants and speakers enjoyed a networking cocktail reception.
