The firm also welcomes nine trainee lawyers to its 2026 Professional Traineeship Programme
SRS Legal is strengthening its Tax Department, with Francisco Castro Guedes and Salomé Corte-Real becoming co-heads of the department and the addition of Isabel Miranda Alves to the firm’s Porto office.
The new structure of the Tax Department reflects SRS Legal’s commitment to an area of strategic importance to its clients, combining the experience of its two co-heads with the growth of the team and the continued strengthening of the firm’s presence in the North of Portugal.
Isabel Miranda Alves joins SRS Legal as an Associate. With 13 years of experience in tax law, she has developed her career at leading national and international consulting and law firms, with a particular focus on Corporate Income Tax and corporate taxation. She holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto and also attended the Master’s in Auditing and Taxation at Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
The strengthening of SRS Legal’s teams also extends to a new generation of lawyers. As part of its 2026 Professional Traineeship Programme, nine trainee lawyers have joined SRS Legal across different practice areas and its Lisbon and Porto offices.
Camila Figueiredo Amaral and Francisco Silva Nunes join the Dispute Resolution team; Francisco Guerreiro Gomes, Real Estate; Gonçalo Avelar Henriques, Corporate & Finance; Joana Mendes de Sousa, Employment & Social Security; João Pedro Fragoso, Projects; Marcelo Carneiro Rocha, in Porto, and Pedro Barreto, Administrative & Environmental Law; and Margarida Porto Gouveia, Criminal & Sanctions Law.
“This is a particularly significant moment in SRS Legal’s growth. We want to continue growing sustainably, strengthening our capabilities, bringing our teams closer together and creating the conditions for different generations of lawyers to develop their careers with us.
The strengthening of the Tax Department and the integration of trainee lawyers represent two complementary dimensions of this project: deepening SRS Legal’s expertise and ability to respond to our clients’ needs, while continuing to invest in talent and in the future of the firm, with an increasingly integrated presence across Lisbon and Porto,” say César Sá Esteves and Octávio Castelo Paulo, Managing Partners of SRS Legal.
