José Luís Moreira da Silva speaks at conference for Portuguese-speaking Ports

José Luís Moreira da Silva, Managing Partner of the Department of Public and Environmental Law at SRS Advogados, will speak at the tenth conference for Portuguese-speaking Ports, which will take place in Lisbon on the 11^th and 12^th of September.

The Coordinator of the working group of the Assoication of Lusophone Ports (APLOP) will speak on “Port Law in Lusophone Countries” on 11^th September at the Alcântara Maritime Station.

The Conference will see the Marine Minister, Ana Paula Vitorino, joined by the Mayor of Lisbon, Fernando Medina, along with a panel of specialists in Transport, Infrastructure and Maritime Economy from Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Morocco, Mozambique, UK and East Timor.

A Professor at the Institute of Legal and Political Studies in the University of Lisbon’s Law Faculty, José Luís Moreira da Silva was, in the 1980s, a Government Adviser on infrastructure, highways and ports as well as a Deputy of the Assembly of the Republic. He is currently the Coordinator for the Programme of Systematization of Port Law in all the APLOP member countries (Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Macao, Morocco, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Timor).
