"SRS Legal advises ECS on the acquisition of the B&B Montijo hotel" (with Neuza Pereira de Campos, João Santos Carvalho and José Pinto Santos)

"SRS Legal advised ECS on the acquisition of B&B Montijo, a 112-room hotel leased to B&B Hotels and previously owned by a partnership between Sunny BB and Casais. The purchase was made through the Portugal Strategic Growth Fund, managed by ECS.

In a statement, the law firm said that the building has around 4,200 square metres of gross floor area, spread over four floors above ground, as well as a basement with 15 parking spaces.

The building is leased to the B&B Hotels group, based in France, "the fastest-growing European hotel chain in the economy Europe's fastest-growing hotel chain in the economy segment, operating more than 720 hotels in 15 countries, including 12 properties in Portugal", reads the statement.

Neuza Pereira de Campos, Partner in charge of SRS Legal's Real Estate Department, led a multidisciplinary team in this transaction with the participation of João Santos Carvalho (Partner - Banking and Finance) and José Pinto Santos (Associate - Real Estate). Quoted in the press release, the lawyer reveals that ECS's strategy "involves investing in assets in good good locations, with quality construction and long, sustainable leases".»
