SRS Legal advises ECS Capital on sale of Montalva Group (with Gustavo Ordonhas Oliveira, Marco Silva Garrinhas, Joana Ferreira Gonçalves and Duarte Pirra Xarepe)

SRS Legal advised ECS Capital on the sale of the Montalva Group.

The SRS Legal team was led by Gustavo Ordonhas Oliveira, a Partner in the Private Equity & Venture Capital team, and included Marco Silva Garrinhas (Managing Associate), Joana Ferreira Gonçalves (Associate) and Duarte Pirra Xarepe (Of Counsel) in Competition matters.

SRS Legal's advice included organising and executing the competitive bid process for the sale of the Montalva Group, as well as drafting and negotiating the transaction documents and agreements.

This operation involved the sale by Fundo Recuperação (a private equity fund managed by ECS Capital) of the Montalva Group to a company owned by Valsabor and with participation of the Montalva Group's management team. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

The Montalva Group is based in Montijo, employs around 1,000 people, owns the renowned Izidoro brand and exports to more than 30 countries, with a total of approximately 30 animal farms and eight industrial units in Portugal.
